Columbia River Gorge | Stylized

This photo session was one of my favorites in 2017. It was my first time doing a full on stylized shoot. It started with a vision of a mountain wedding, or adventure elopement type of wedding style and progressed into this beautiful collaboration with a dress designer from Seattle (French Knot Couture), a hair & make-up artist from Portland (Renee Bruhn), and my gorgeous friend and model AND florist, Alisha (For The Love of Floral).

Now, originally, this shoot was supposed to take place in Banff, Canada. Then that trip got cancelled, so we moved the location to Mt. Hood, but had to move it again to Government Cove in the Columbia Gorge, which I believe worked out even better. We JUST missed sunset which at first I was bummed about because I was hoping for the nice golden light, but, again, it worked out better this way. The way the Columbia Gorge's colors came out just as the sun set was perfect. The lighting was soft. The wind was blowing. It created the most amazing environment to shoot in, thus creating some of my favorite photos. I hope to do many more shoots like this one. Anyone interested??
