Creekside Estates Intimate Wedding, Washougal, WA | Nathan & Samantha

July 31st, 2020 could not have come fast enough for Nathan & Samantha. They were originally supposed to get married in June, but with everything Covid-19 they had to push their special day back, and re-plan several times over. But, I do believe that everything happens for a reason and God has a bigger plan. Regardless, I was SO excited to FINALLY be shooting their wedding!

Like several of my 2020 couples, they are chose to do an intimate wedding ceremony this year, and then a big party & reception in 2021 (which is going to be so much fun!!). Even though that is not ideal, and it can be difficult to tell people that they are not allowed to come celebrate their wedding day, Nathan & Samantha made the best of it and still had an amazing time. Thankfully, the whole day was captured through photo and video so that they can share their wedding day moments with those who were not able to make it in person.

Not going to lie, the getting ready portion of the day is one of my favorites!! And Samantha and her girls did not disappoint. We jammed out to Maroon 5 and Justin Bieber, and had a great song mix going (Pro tip: set the mood/vibe of the getting ready space by playing music. Whether you want it to be crazy and upbeat, or calm and mellow). They had multiple make-up artists and a gal doing their hair. It was a fun time for the girls to all hang out and have that girls-only quality time together before getting into their dresses.

Now, for the venue!! I had never been to Creekside Estates in Washougal, Washington, before but I can definitely say that I love it! It is beautiful and green, has flowers, a little pond, and super cute getting ready areas (both for the guys and girls). The space is not too big, and not too small, and still has variety!! The ceremony was staged in a grassy area, looking out to a half gazebo and tall trees. The weather that day was super nice everything seemed to go so smoothly.

Nathan & Samantha chose to not do a first look, so coming down the aisle was the first time he got to see her. It is always super emotional to see the grooms reaction. You can tell that he loves Samantha so much and already treasures her more than anything else in the world.

Those are just some of my memories of the day. I will stop talking and just let you experience it for yourself through these photos.

Nathan & Samantha, THANK YOU for allowing me to be a part of your day, all your special moments, and trusting me with such an important job of capturing your wedding day. Many blessings on this next chapter of your lives!!
