Jordan Covered Bridge Salem, Oregon Intimate Wedding | Kate & Nathan

First off, I have to say how much of a superstar Kate is. She has had to re-plan her wedding so many times due to COVID-19 and all things shutting down. But, I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and her big day turned out absolutely perfect!

Kate & Nathan decided to get married at the Jordan covered Bridge in Stayton, Oregon. It has such a beautiful white covered bridge over a quiet & calm creek. The weather was absolutely beautiful that day. A nice comfortable temperature, as well as sunshine when we wanted it.

You know how they always say that simple is better when it comes to weddings? I found that to be true with Kate & Nathan’s whole day, especially the ceremony. With only close friends and family, they all gathered on the covered bridge to have witness the joining of two lives. It is so sweet!! One of my favorite things about the whole day was the way that Nathan looked at Kate. You can really tell how much he loves and cherishes her. During their ceremony, one of my favorite things was when both mothers read aloud letters that they wrote to Kate and Nathan. Talk about a tearjerker!!

Following the sweet ceremony we walked about 100 feet across another bridge and into a beautiful shaded wooded area. Kate had hand designed and made all of the florals and decorations— and they looked fabulous!! All of the floral’s were paper. Kate was a music major in college and has such a love for music and so some of the paper flowers included were folded sheet music. She is so creative!

Everything that day went so well and smoothly. Moving into the reception, they had the coolest thing ever: A brunch wedding! I absolutely love breakfast!! They chose to have a morning wedding ceremony because they both love breakfast so much and wanted to mix it up a little. I was definitely a fan. They served cinnamon rolls, bacon (tons and tons of bacon), really yummy quiches, fruits and mimosas. It was absolutely delicious and catered by Roth's Catering

Kate & Nathan, thank you so much for hiring me and allowing me to be part of your day. I always feel so honored when people asked me to photograph their weddings. It’s no small task at all and I take my responsibility very seriously. Blessings on this next chapter real life & the rest of the chapters here on out! You two are so sweet and totally in love and truly bless all of those for you come in contact with!

Much love,
Emily
